Hi Rotary Members!  (This is Wayne Brunton writing)

This is a test of the bulletin and mailing list functions which are part of the Clubrunner package.  During our 5 February meeting I will go over the features.  I created the Bulletin and website with the very thorough website documents and photos maintained by Mike Jeays!

Bulletins are sent out via email, however, they are formatted like a web page so it looks nicer.  There is no need to click on any links so it is secure, however, you may have to 'load remote content' to see the pictures.

The layout is customizable and content from the webpage can be included in the bulletin at the click of a button, so no need to re-write or cut and paste just check a box.  We might want to use this space for a message from our President (no pressure Ernie)!

You can preview the test Clubrunner site at: https://portal.clubrunner.ca/1090.  It is mobile friendly, secure and I put a couple of videos on the page just to demonstrate what they would look like when we make our own videos with Dave's video editing :)

If we decide to go with Clubrunner we can transfer the domain name to the current one www.carletonplacerotary.ca which is administered by Mike.

If we want to remove the ads by Clubrunner we will need to pay extra.  At the moment their ads show what we could do if we want to include sponsor information.

Welcome to our new eBulletin!  This is a space that our President could use to sum up past successes, thank people and highlight upcoming events, etc.

Compost Sale - May 12th, 2018
The Rotary Club of Carleton Place and Mississippi Mills held its annual compost sale as usual, with a huge amount of help from the Carleton Place Soccer Teams, who, with assistance from several parents, did all the bagging and most of the deliveries. We packed 1,368 bags, and sold most of them, even though we raised the price to $9 per bag this year, to cover increased costs.  The funds were used for local events such as the annual senior's dinner!

Let us know in the comments below if you would like to buy a bag of compost in 2019!  Or you can email us at  rotarycpmm@gmail.com.

Women's Fair - November 2nd, 2018

The Rotary Club of Carleton Place and Mississippi Mills now has now had full responsibility for organizing the Annual Women's Fair for the two years. The event was a success once more, and made a substantial profit, most of which will be donated to Lanark County Interval House for support of their second-stage housing.  The photo below shows Rotary member Kathy Cousineau and her daughter Sherry who held a hugely successful cake raffle as part of the Women's Fair.

Tell us in the comments below or email us at rotarycpmm@gmail.com if you would like to help us by reserving a table during the 2019 Women's Fair!
